Job Description:
1. Working with QA and Development counterparts to understand the feature specs, develop and review feature test design specs.
2. Designing and implementing new automation test cases with required tools and scripts (e.g. UI Automation using Selenium).
3. Designing, setting up, and execution of (Manual and Automated) test cases/procedures within a broad scope of technology/product areas.
4. Designing and implementing various types of tests, such as Functional, i18n, Security, Webservices/API
5. Work closely with SCM in setting up and configuring CI environments.
6. Executing test cases, ability to analyze test results, filing bug reports, tracking test case results per standard, and
resolving issues by working with QA peers and Development stakeholders
7. Working closely with Development and Product Management to ensure timely and quality product releases.
8. Continually improving testing methodology, testing procedures, and test environment.
9. Accountable for solving problems in addition to execution.
10. Proficient at utilizing existing QA tools and processes, and provides input to drive continual improvements.
11. Developing understanding of customer use cases.
12. Continually developing knowledge of the relevant technology, products, tools and quality processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent
2. 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Software QA Engineer, working on a large software product requiring a high degree of collaboration and integration.
3. Good knowledge of writing SQL queries. Knowledge of various databases like Oracle, DB2 and MySQL.
4. 1-2 years of experience developing test UI automation using Selenium with Experience in Selenium Web driver.
5. 1-2 years of experience with Java and Object Oriented Programming
6. Good knowledge of writing SQL queries and knowledge of various databases like Oracle, DB2 and MySQL.
7. 1-2 years of experience developing test UI automation using Selenium and Experience working on Linux operating system.
8. Knowledge of test automation tools, including Junit and TestNG frameworks.
9. Knowledge of automating applications with extJS is a plus.
